Creating the healthy, eco-friendly living foods Lifestyle

Just because a food is free of animal products does not mean it is healthy

As we revisit and find new appreciation for the tried-and-true methods of our ancestors in the search for optimal health, many feel out of touch with basic methods for juggling fresh, wholesome ingredients in a whole foods plant-based kitchen. The commitment to harness the powerful healing effects of a living foods diet is alluring, and yet overwhelming for many.

There is a plethora of unhealthy food out there muddying the waters in the hot trend towards Veganism.  Giant food corporations are cashing in and creating a mass of unhealthy plant-based products with wild abandonment. They buy up the small mom and pop operations the minute a new product takes off and inevitably change the ingredients to extend shelf life and profit. They feed upon tried-and-true habitual addictions to sugar, salt and fat under the guise of plant-based health food. Don't fall for the bait.

Many vegans are far more unhealthier than they were before giving up animal products. They fill up on empty, unhealthy carbs in the search for feeling full at each meal. They search out the local vegan donut shops and fast-food joints believing it is a healthy choice. The fast-food industry is filled with processed sugar, unhealthy fats, high sodium and over-processed grains and there is no sign that it will ever change for the better. The fact is, there is no legitimate path to a healthy sugar coated, deep-fat-fried vegan donut (no matter what organic processed flour, sugar or oil they choose to advertise).
Food can be the best medicine, but your personal health is directly related to rejecting all this commercial, over-processed, irradiated, dead food.

Step into a new relationship with the power of honoring the life-force energy in all the incredible gifts from Mother Earth.  We must release our obsession to sugar, unhealthy fats and salt. This means burning new neural pathways to over-ride our bad habits and addictions.

The great news is that old habits can be transformed with dedication and commitment to a new healthy vibrant lifestyle. Science proved that to embody a permanent new habit, you need to fully commit for at least 30 days. At this point the brain burns new neural-pathways and a new pattern settles in.
My challenge to you is to commit to the most optimized, healthy, fulfilling, and passionate life possible and give it a solid 30 days. Step outside the corporate inundation of advertising and realize that the standard American diet we have been sold by industry is killing more people every day than all war or violence on this planet. We are the only ones that can stop this.

It is time to reclaim your own health and realize that we can absolutely take control of the factors that lead to the diseases and common ailments falsely sold as "normal aging" processes. The goal is not how long you live, but how you live in each and every moment from now until your time comes. Choose this path and you will wake up each day with renewed energy and vitality for all the remaining years of this life.

This course will guide you to step outside the unhealthy commercialization of our food preparation and lifestyle. It will invite you to slow down and enjoy reconnecting with yourself and the locally owned organic farms working to improve the beautiful world for us all.

"How do I put together a living foods kitchen?" is one of the most often asked questions when I am presenting at festivals, conferences and the regional Veg Fests.
After years of figuring out what worked (as well as what didn't), I have developed an easy 20 step blueprint for enjoying the ultimate living foods lifestyle.
Through these steps you will also learn:

  • Awakening to the danger of our dependency on processed, commercial foods laden with addictive ingredients
  • Setting the goal of learning new methods for replacing all the standard staples of your diet with healthy, living-foods versions.
  • How to design the ultimate non-toxic, eco-friendly plant-based kitchen.
  • The commitment to shop locally first (before resorting to ordering online or supporting big-box stores).
  • Returning to nature (harvesting from garden, forest and sea).
  • Supporting local and regional organic farms.
  • Understanding gut health, prebiotics and probiotics.
  • How to find community while expanding your plant-based education.

Simple organization in the kitchen is the key. It alleviates the chaos and stress of getting caught without necessary ingredients or tools and helps in planning ahead with soaking and sprouting. In this course I provide simple, practical tips and sources for setting up zones and keeping the fresh produce in flow without wasting anything.
There will be links throughout this course, leading to my online store where you can find great choices in restructuring your kitchen. These are affiliate links and the tiny kick-back Plant Food Culinary Arts receives, will help to keep the site and my mission alive. I have researched and made choices based on the best buy for the money. Especially with equipment. There is nothing worse than finding a great deal, only to have it fall apart. I stick with tried-and-true brands at a reasonable price for those transitioning and tooling up for the plant-based adventure!
